The National Headache Foundation conducted a study in which the participants were given a list of possible causes. They had to rank these causes in terms of what usually brought on the migraine. Three participants out of four said that it was the weather change that triggered their headache.

According to research, some moderate aerobic exercise can reduce the severity, number, and duration of your headache. With a regular exercise, you can also control stress thus preventing a migraine.
AVOID FOODS THAT TRIGGER MIGRAINES
If you suspect that a certain food – such as aged cheese, chocolate, caffeine or alcohol – is triggering your migraines, eliminate it from your diet to see what happens.
Massage can ease neck and shoulder spasms, while tai chi increases body awareness, making it easier to detect and treat an oncoming headache. Yoga that focuses on mindfulness, such as Hatha and restorative yoga, may also help.
If you have a bad headache, try to step away from stress, literally. Avoid noisy environments, leave work a little early if you can, or ask your partner to take care of chores or the kids.
DRINK PLENTY OF WATER
Drink as much water as you can in order to stay hydrated and prevent migraines.
TURN OFF THE LIGHTS
Migraines often increase sensitivity to light and sound. Relax in a dark, quiet room. Sleep if you can.
